The broadside announces a reward of five guineas for information leading to the discovery of a person who tore up fences, broke posts and rails, and damaged haystacks in the field adjoining Monks' House Yard. Henry Williams, Treasurer and Secretary for the Association offers the reward.

The National Register of Historic Places nomination form describes the Alexander McMillian House, built in 1905, is located in the Summit Addition.

There are three property plot maps included in the file, as well as images of the house and yard.

Originally from Scotland, Alexander McMillian arrived in America as a child in 1850. After sixty years of the cold Montana winters, Alexander and Eva McMillian came to Ashland in 1909.
