Scope and Contents The determination of eligibility form describes the Big Bend Guard Station as historically significant during 1933 - 1941. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) enrollees built the structures. Three structures built during the Depression Era qualify as Historic Places. All other buildings are newer and do not fall under qualifying guidelines.The Great Depression officially started in 1929.
