Research completed for the Director of Planning and Development, City of Ashland. The research covers the five major floods of 1861, 1890, 1927, 1948, and 1955, giving a summary of the damages. The documents include images of newspaper clippings published in 1861, 1890, 1927, 1948, and 1955 from a variety of newspapers. Included is a report from the U.S. Army Engineer District, Portland Corps of Engineers December 1961.

The documents concern buildings and advertisements related to Frank C. Clark. The materials include handwritten research notes and a copy of Mr. Clark's obituary. The Annual reports for the Oregon State Board of Architect Examiners published 1919 through 1921. Also, there is correspondence from 1919 through 1982 regarding Mr. Clark's designs and his character, and an original drawing of a house design, dated 1888.

The correspondence regards the application and certification for Frank Clark to practice architecture in the State of Oregon. Also included are two photos, possibly of Frank Clark, as well as images of designs by Frank Clark, found at the Historical Society.

The completed Frank Chamberlain Clark biography was presented to the Southern Oregon Historical Society in 1982. The text lists the commercial and personal buildings Clark designed throughout Southern Oregon and the Rogue Valley and his impact.

This folder contains a description of the Bartlett Hotel, which Frank C. Clark designed in Jerome, Arizona, and Ezra C. Bartlett constructed it in 1899, with the grand opening in 1900. It is one of a few buildings that he designed there about the same time. Also included are handwritten notes and images of the town and the hotel.

The correspondence sent to several agencies regarding the Frank Chamberlain Clark Historical Survey project, requesting information needed about Clark. Also included in the file are handwritten notes regarding Clark.

The handwritten research notes regard Frank C. Clark's Architectural business. Included are records from Clark's Journal listing the people he worked for, dated from 1927–1940. Also included is correspondence from the Historical Preservation Oregon State Parks in Salem, Oregon, and the Southern Oregon Historical Society. A manuscript on the life and work of Frank Chamberlain Clark in a rough draft form. A list of documented buildings and structures designed by Clark is available.
