Biography
Local historian and author Kay Atwood, who has written extensively about the Southern Oregon region. Atwood’s books include Illahe: The Story of Settlement in the Rogue River Canyon, Mill Creek Journal: Ashland Oregon, 1850-1860, and Chaining Oregon: Surveying the Public Lands of the Pacific Northwest, 1851-1855. Her many other books and articles explore the settlement and development of communities in Southern Oregon, and include National Register nominations, cultural resource inventories, and environmental and organizational histories.

Klamath National Forest - Civilian Conservation Corps - California Regions
The documents cover a range of information about the Klamath National Forest and the Civilian Conservation Corps. The CCC was enacted to get young men working after the Great Depression. In the file are articles from a variety of sources that explain what the CCC was working on and accomplishing. The documents cover Klamath National Forest and Fire Lookouts in California, the Northfork Ranger Station in the Sierra National Forest.

This item is a collection of maps of the various buildings (ranger stations, cabins, etc.) in Klamath National Forest from the State of California's Department of Parks and Recreation.

This item is a historical resource survey of Lakeview, Oregon conducted by Ward Tonsfeldt Consulting and submitted on August 1, 1989. The preface reads: "This survey was begun in August of 1988 and completed in July of 1989. The project was sponsored by the Town of Lakeview Planning Office. Data collected in the survey will help the Planning Office make informed decisions about historic resources within the town."

A copy of the spring 1987 issue of Landmark journal, a publication of 1000 Friends of Oregon. 1000 Friends of Oregon is a non-profit public service organization working since March 1975 to realize Oregon's land use laws at the state and local levels.

Leander Neil House, 2785 East Main Street, Ashland, Oregon, 1981
The National Registry of Historic Places nomination form describes the Leander Neil House. The farmhouse located in Ashland, constructed for the Neil family in 1886, remained in the Neil family until 1941.
The documents include a history of Leander A. Neil, images of the house, and photocopies of newspaper articles noting family deaths and the restoration of the farmhouse by Skillsbank members. Correspondence regarding the nomination is also included.
