The materials consist of three notecards with what appear to be captions or descriptions of various newspaper articles from the nineteenth century. Two are typewritten, one is handwritten. One refers to Aulthouse, the second refers to Sucker Creek, and the third concerns Browntown.

The materials are a collection of various documents and notes related to the history of the Hay (or Hayes?) family. Many of these items are handwritten notes, presumably Atwood's, about the family and their history. Also included are newspaper clippings and handwritten manuscripts.

Preservation archaeologist Leland Gilsen compiled the list of historical sites in Josephine County for the State Historic Preservation Office. The list was sent to Mr. Bruce Bartow at the Josephine County Planning Office on Aprill 11, 1979.

The materials consist of various documents related generally to the history of Wolf Creek. Much of this file is made up of Atwood's handwritten notes. Of note is a term paper on Wolf Creek written by a Patricia A. Converse in 1958.

The materials concern the history of the postal service and the various postal offices in Josephine County since the nineteenth century. The primary document is a list of nineteenth century post offices compiled by Richard W. Helbock in the Postal Historian in 1969.

The materials concern the history of a settlement in southern Oregon called Murphy and the Provolt family who lived there.

The materials concern the history of Leland and Sunny Valley, two settlements in southern Oregon. The majority of this file is made up of Atwood's handwritten notes on the subject. Dates for the materials are difficult to ascertain.
