Aulthouse, Sucker Creek, Browntown
The materials consist of three notecards with what appear to be captions or descriptions of various newspaper articles from the nineteenth century. Two are typewritten, one is handwritten. One refers to Aulthouse, the second refers to Sucker Creek, and the third concerns Browntown.
Hay
The materials are a collection of various documents and notes related to the history of the Hay (or Hayes?) family. Many of these items are handwritten notes, presumably Atwood's, about the family and their history. Also included are newspaper clippings and handwritten manuscripts.

Preservation archaeologist Leland Gilsen compiled the list of historical sites in Josephine County for the State Historic Preservation Office. The list was sent to Mr. Bruce Bartow at the Josephine County Planning Office on Aprill 11, 1979.
