Historic Grants Pass newspapers including the Golden Anniversary Edition of the Grants Pass Courier – April 3, 1935. Stories in this edition reminisce about the history of the gold discovery, recounting the mining tales of old, the tragedies of the early days, ghost towns, size of gold nuggets, and the people living in the area.

Scope and Contents

The Charles "Charlie" Givan folder provides research in photographs of the Ranch, farm equipment, structures, and family. A 1976 taped interview with Charlie, Ruth Kneas, and Kay Atwood describes the Old Givan Ranch and life back in the day. Also included are a list of people in the photos and handwritten notes.

Scope and Contents

The documents concern buildings and advertisements related to Frank C. Clark. The materials include handwritten research notes and a copy of Mr. Clark's obituary. The Annual reports for the Oregon State Board of Architect Examiners published 1919 through 1921. Also, there is correspondence from 1919 through 1982 regarding Mr. Clark's designs and his character, and an original drawing of a house design, dated 1888.
