These materials of various origin and content are all related generally to the history of the Illinois Valley in Oregon. Included within are newspaper clippings, book exercpts, and Atwood's notes, among other things.

These materials include some primary source documents related to Josephine County as well as a large collection of Atwood's notes and various correspondence.
