This item is a collection of maps of the various buildings (ranger stations, cabins, etc.) in Klamath National Forest from the State of California's Department of Parks and Recreation.

These materials are related to the previous file (Klamath National Forest Project) and include a rudimentary list of maps scrawled on a sheet of yellow legal paper with a scale for the maps. A large map of Klamath National Forest, 1997; a map of transportation system, 2001.

This item is a historical resource survey of Lakeview, Oregon conducted by Ward Tonsfeldt Consulting and submitted on August 1, 1989. The preface reads: "This survey was begun in August of 1988 and completed in July of 1989. The project was sponsored by the Town of Lakeview Planning Office. Data collected in the survey will help the Planning Office make informed decisions about historic resources within the town."

A copy of the spring 1987 issue of Landmark journal, a publication of 1000 Friends of Oregon. 1000 Friends of Oregon is a non-profit public service organization working since March 1975 to realize Oregon's land use laws at the state and local levels.

Scope and Contents The National Registry of Historic Places nomination form describes the Glenview Orchard located in Phoenix. The property includes a Period English Tudor style residence, a foreman's house, a barn, two water reservoir sheds, and a garage. The architect Frank C. Clark designed and built the house for Lawrence and Catherine Bragg in 1922. The National Registry of Historic Places nomination form describes the Leander Neil House. The farmhouse located in Ashland, constructed for the Neil family in 1886, remained in the Neil family until 1941.

The documents include a history of Leander A. Neil, images of the house, and photocopies of newspaper articles noting family deaths and the restoration of the farmhouse by Skillsbank members. Correspondence regarding the nomination is also included.

Scope and Contents

The materials continue the research for the Siskiyou National Forest lookouts. Documents include indepth information on the lookouts with focus on the watchtowers at the Hershberger Mountain and Wildhorse. The booklet "Fire Lookouts on the Deschutes National Forest" was copied and sent to Kay in September 1999. The nomination form for the Snoqualmie National Forest lookout on Mt. Baker is included. Images of maps, structures, and handwritten notes are also available.

Scope and Contents The National Register of Historic Places form describes the Lundburg-Vannice House as a private residence constructed in 1914, for George E. and Sallie Connor Lundburg. Frank L. Vannice purchased the home in 1945. Both Lundburg and Vannice were prominent men in the history of Grants Pass.
