Star Ranger Station, Applegate Ranger District, Rogue River National Forest, Jackson County, Oregon, 1979
The "Cultural Resource Inventory and Evaluation of Existing Structures for the Star Ranger Station" discusses the significance of placing the structures on the National Registry of Historic Places. The history of the Star Ranger site began with an altercation with the local Indians in 1855 and continues into the 1970s. There are images of the structures, landscape planning, and discussions of alternatives to the restoration of the station, and the impact on the area.
