This is the second of two copies of a draft of one of the early iterations of Powers' book, Taking the Sea. "Whitelaw's World" was an earlier working title for what eventually became Taking the Sea. This draft is undated, but it can be assumed that it was created no later than 2008 considering this collection contains drafts of Taking the Sea with its current title from 2008. The title page references that Powers is represented by the Jeanne Fredericks Literary Agency, Inc.
