This folder contains a variety of information concerning The Great Alaska Earthquake of 1964 and the ensuing tsunami in Alaska and Crescent City, CA. Various reports, scientific journal articles, and workshop memorandums cover the process of earthquakes and tsunamis as well as the history of this event in the Pacific Northwest.

The historical records and firsthand accounts contain Mr. Powers' summary of Frank Boynton's experience in the 1964 Tsunami in Crescent City, California, and photocopies of three documents containing Del Norte County history starting in the mid-19th century.
