Scope and Contents
The National Register of Historic Places form describes Mountain View Cemetery as established in 1904. The cemetery, located in the southeastern part of Ashland, was added to meet the need for burial space. The cemetery consists of two sections separated by highway 66. The smaller portion of the cemetery, formerly the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F) cemetery, was laid out in 1907.
