The highest honor awarded by the United Foundation Trust was the Order of the Purple Girdle, given on the occasion of a Southern Oregon College woman faculty receiving her PhD. Bev Bennett and Betty Lou Dunlop were founders of the United Foundation Trust along with Marion Ady, Dorothy Stolp, Myrtle "Dutch" Funkhouser and others....
