United Foundation Trust papers
Scope and Contents
The collection contains papers compiled by the United Foundation Trust, an association of Southern Oregon College women active from 1957 through 1979. The highest honor awarded by the United Foundation Trust was the Order of the Purple Girdle, given on the occasion of a Southern Oregon College woman faculty receiving her PhD. Bev Bennett and Betty Lou Dunlop were founders of the United Foundation Trust along with Marion Ady, Dorothy Stolp, Myrtle "Dutch" Funkhouser and others. The UFT collection came to SOU through Beverly Loree Bennett’s estate after she passed in 2008. The papers include programs, meeting notes, and regalia.
