Biography
Local historian and author Kay Atwood, who has written extensively about the Southern Oregon region. Atwood’s books include Illahe: The Story of Settlement in the Rogue River Canyon, Mill Creek Journal: Ashland Oregon, 1850-1860, and Chaining Oregon: Surveying the Public Lands of the Pacific Northwest, 1851-1855. Her many other books and articles explore the settlement and development of communities in Southern Oregon, and include National Register nominations, cultural resource inventories, and environmental and organizational histories.

These are materials related to the history of schools and education more generally in Josephine County, Oregon. Included are various individuals' accounts of that history and others attempts at compiling such information.
Selma
The materials relate to the history of the town of Selma. One document is a short piece called "Sawmills of the Selma Area" by Joseph E. Goode, and the other is titled "Downtown Selma in 1905." Both documents are undated.

William Graff Cabin (BLM) Review, Dutch Henry Homestead, Josephine County, 1984-1994
The research review of the Graff Cabin provides a report of the cabin and explains the significance of the historical value. Also, the Historical Survey documents the history of the original land claimant Dutch Henry, with images of the cabin and map of the planning department. Also included are several photographs with handwritten notes.
Wolf Creek General, 1958-1983
The materials consist of various documents related generally to the history of Wolf Creek. Much of this file is made up of Atwood's handwritten notes. Of note is a term paper on Wolf Creek written by a Patricia A. Converse in 1958.
