John and Margaret Launcelyn, 1975
Scope and Contents
John and Margaret Launcelyn, 1435. This is a model of the reverse side of John and Maragaret Launcelyn. It can be seen that the two brasses have been made out of a much larger figure of a knight of about 1310. The sword hilt and belt can be plainly seen. The inscription is also reused, and formed part of a brass to a certain John Veal who died in 1375. Gold on black paper. Located at All Saints Church, Cople, Bedfordshire, England. 20”W x 30”L
