Scope and Contents

The 1892 correspondence includes letters from Dora Wight in Kodiak, Alaska, to her brother George Anderson of Talent, Oregon. Letters refer to the arrival of a schooner to Kodiak Island. The collection has a letter from Joseph A. Wilson of Portland to Miss Anderson (name not given) with an invitation and advertisement from the Oregonian newspaper (photocopy) to attend the "Great Exposition of 1892" in Portland. One letter includes a poem from Mr. M. McCluney of Ashland, Oregon to Anna Belle Anderson and her reply.
