Scope and Contents

The collection from 1893 includes correspondence between various Anderson family members. The letters are from George Anderson to his sister Dora Anne Wight (nee Anderson), from Lena Phillips (nee Anderson) of Kodiak, Alaska to her sister Mary Hannah "Minnie" Anderson, and a letter from E.K. Anderson of Ashland, Oregon to his son G.N. Anderson of Copley California. The E.K. Anderson letter discusses recent gold findings by prospectors in streams on his land and arbitration on the proceeds by local attorneys Hu and Martin. Further discusses a large gold strike made near Goldhill on the Rogue River.
