Scope and Contents
The 1909 correspondence bulks with letters to Fred Mortimer Carter, Jr. of Ellensburg, Washington, regarding financial matters. The majority of the correspondence is from attorney Chester W. Clark of Boston and J.H. Avery of Milton, New Hampshire, about money loaned to Carter. The correspondence includes letters from Yale University regarding repayment of Carter's debt to that institution. The correspondence includes two postcards addressed to J.E. Steele of Talent, Oregon, from Vetabelle Elizabeth Carter (nee Phillips) of Seattle.
