Family letters, 1912
Scope and Contents
Two letters comprise the 1912 correspondence. One is from Chester Tolman to Crit Tolman, both sons of John Crit Tolman and Mary Hannah "Minnie" Tolman (nee Phillips). The letter describes Chester Tolman's experiences in Port Moller Bay, Alaska, surveying locations for a cannery. This letter includes the story of a bear attack he survived while hunting. The second is from L.C. Wishard, proprietor of The Club Cigar Store of Klamath Falls, Oregon, to Fred Mortimer "Nick" Carter Junior regarding financial matters.
