Smallpox Vaccination, 1849
Scope and Contents
The notice requests that all parents have their children vaccinated against Cow Pox and Small Pox under the provisions of the Act of the 3rd and 4th years of the reign of Queen Victoria. The notice describes the danger of being unvaccinated. The text reminds readers that spreading Smallpox is an offense punishable by one month's imprisonment.
