George Boole appointment, 1849
Scope and Contents
The broadside is a copy of an inscription printed in gold upon white vellum and inserted in a copy of Johnson's Physical Atlas. Presented initially to George Boole by the members of Lincoln and Lincolnshire Mechanics' Institution upon his appointment to the professorship of mathematics to Queen's College, Cork.
