Scope and Contents

The letter describes the ruins of the Newark Castle and the disrepair of the surrounding lots which were soon to be up for auction. The author of the letter implores the nobility and gentry interested in the preservation of English antiquities to contribute to the purchase of the lots to preserve Newark Castle.
