Ashland - Sanborn Maps, 1981
Scope and Contents
The maps from the Sanborn-Perris Map Company outline the city of Ashland, Oregon. The pages can be joined to get a better idea of the area of Ashland. The Sanborn Insurance maps were used in calculating insurance premiums for customers. Included are maps dated 1884, 1888, and 1890. The maps provided information on the location, function, building materials, and dimensions of structures for each year listed. Also included, is a pamphlet outlining the Sanborn company and what they provided, as well as microfiche slides.
