Scope and Contents

The book, At Home on the Range, describes the lives of Austie Barron and Joan Neil. Joan, the only child of Jesse and Kathryn Neil, was eight years of age when her father died. Later they lost the family home to the bank. Austie and Joan survived adversity with the help of a long-time friend. Here are the experiences of Austie and Joan during the Ranching Days of 1938-1948.
