Scope and Contents

The list of Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camps in the Pacific Northwest during 1933-1942 includes camp locations, camp names, and the states were enrollees originated. "The Forest Service and The Civilian Conservation Corps: 1933-1942" publication, on March 21, 1933, notes President Franklin Roosevelt's presentation of a plan to Congress to help the people of America get back to work by training the unemployed through public service. The program assisted the nation with conservation needs and helped the unemployed develop new skills. The documents detail the CCC program. Also, included in the folder are illustrations of the buildings to be constructed in the National Forests and Parks, and a bibliography of sources.
