Scope and Contents
The newspaper articles from 1964, include Mr. Powers' handwritten notes about the tsunami in Crescent City. Articles and notes concern the destruction of the infrastructure and the stories of the victims of the tsunami. The materials relate to the earthquake originating in Anchorage, Alaska that caused the tsunami and stories about the damage caused by the earthquake. Also included are a few articles concerning the 10th and 20th anniversary of the event. Research materials were retrieved from the internet in 1999.
