Scope and Contents

The Dorothy Hatch Broadsides Collection includes articles, biographies, prints, and artwork from a variety of artists. Featuring work from Colleen Browning, Honor Daumier, Walter De La Mare, Sara Teasdale, Alan James Robinson, Richard Wilbur, as well as Dorothy P. Lathrop who illustrated for both Walter De La Mare and Sara Teasdale. A notable aspect of the collection comes from the information and work generated at the Stone House Press. Work from the Stone House Press includes signed works from poets such as William Stafford, Robert Bly, Constance Carrier, and many others. It also consists of work done by Dorothy Hatch herself.

Dorothy Hatch compiled the broadsides, while her daughter, Dorothea Hatch, added many of the informational materials.

A collection of broadsides by artists such as Collen Browning, Walter De La Mare, Honore Daumier, and many more. Many items were published by Stone House Press or in the Le Charivie newspaper. Materials include articles and biographies.

Arrangement

The donor arranged materials in this collection.

The collection spans two boxes. The first box primarily consists of informative documents, biographies, and pamphlets about the artists and their associated works. The second box contains prints and broadsides by the artists.
