Susan Reid of Ashland compiled historical and contemporary photographs and poetry in connection with her 1988 master’s thesis, “Pear Packing: A Season of Women’s Work,” which examines the historical role of women in the Rogue Valley pear industry and the importance of women’s work in the regional economy.
