Local historian and author Kay Atwood has written extensively about the Southern Oregon region. Atwood's collection includes her publications, accompanied by her research notes, correspondence and photographs. Related publications, many written for cities and forest agencies, are also included.

The documents concern buildings and advertisements related to Frank C. Clark. The materials include handwritten research notes and a copy of Mr. Clark's obituary. The Annual reports for the Oregon State Board of Architect Examiners published 1919 through 1921. Also, there is correspondence from 1919 through 1982 regarding Mr. Clark's designs and his character, and an original drawing of a house design, dated 1888.

The photographs show Frank C. Clark and his wife Gracie, as well as images and descriptions of pictures depicting designs Mr. Clark created. Also included is a handwritten note about the photos.

A handwritten list compiles people familiar with Clark for potential interviews, include notes about the conversations.

Kay Atwood and Gail Evans created the "Frank Chamberlain Clark Survey" in 1982. The Jackson County Board of Commissioners sponsored the survey. The survey contains detailed information about the designs by Frank Clark, his biography, and forms documenting each building. The study consists of 232 pages and 12 pages of city maps.
