Abstract

The collection consists primarily of theater playbills and programs from plays (including musical plays) for Southern California and New York City productions, with other U.S. and European productions also represented. Many of the programs were published through the journals Playbill and The Playgoer (Hollywood, Los Angeles, Calif.). The collection also includes single journal issues.

The materials include four Playgoer playbills for four different shows, including Crazy October, The Best Man, Duel of Angels, and A Raisin in the Sun. The play programs feature the cast and production crew lists, a list of the scenes locations, and actor bios. All of the shows performed at the Huntington Hartford Theatre.
