North Umpqua River
White water offers a fine angling spot for this fisherman along the North Umpqua River in the Cascade Mountains of southern Oregon. There is fishing to suit a variety of tastes in this evergreen Northwest state. Lakes and streams provide excellent angling for trout and steelhead while the Pacific Ocean offers opportunities for landing salmon, cod, tuna, sea bass and other salt water varieties. A series of notes that Douglas Martin copied from the court records of the Washington State Historical Society. The records pertain to the Washington counties Esquimalt, Jefferson, Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom and individuals such as George Chute, Eels, Huggins, Barbara Lane, and Van Ogle. Also contains a few handwritten letters from Douglas Martin to the Washington State Historical Society.
