Rogue River National Forest (Or. and Calif.)

Jeffery LaLande worked as an independent historian outside of his Forest Service career, and this collection resulted from his independent research. These papers include correspondence with researchers on various topics; files from essays, articles, book reviews, and books he has written; and his peer reviews, requested by various editors, of manuscripts submitted for publication.

A-30 "Multiple-Use Plan," Star Ranger Station, Applegate Ranger District Oregon. A multiple-use plan for the Applegate Ranger District. The paper includes landscape management unit plans for the Upper Applegate County Highway, the development of various recreation sites at Miller Lake, Siskiyou Mountain Scenic Area, Steamboat Cemetery, and other places. L-23 Papers and early Forest Service recollections by Smith C. Bartrum, Roseburg, Oregon (40+p). Folder includes various memoirs, correspondence, and official documents dealing with Bartrum's career as a Forest Reserve (1901-1905) and National Forest (1906-07) supervisor.
