The "Heritage Resource Evaluation and Project Description for the Honeymoon Creek Cabin" report, includes research information on the historical background of the cabin, as well as recommendations of how to preserve the structure. It was eligible for the National Registry of Historic Places at the time of this report. There are images of the cabin structure and maps.

The National Registry of Historic Places form describes the I.O.O.F building as constructed between 1879–1880. Merchants used the lower levels for a variety of businesses, while the Oddfellows used the upper level for their Fraternal Hall.
