Recreation--Management

The map produced by the Automobile Club of Southern California shows the hiking trails, tributaries, lakes, craters, and other recreational points of interest in the Mono-Stanis region of California and part of Nevada. The reverse side includes an index of place names and regulations regarding park use.

These files include ranger district and subunit recreation plans, recreation site plans, and special-use maps. Files include recreation brochures for trails, interpretive programs, special-use permittees, such as Mt. Ashland Ski Area, Union Creek Resort. Also includes other recreation-oriented items, as well as information regarding the operation of wilderness and heritage resource programs. See also the recreation maps listed in the B file and item K-8.

G-32 "Recreation Plan - Big Butte Creek Sub-Unit, Butte Falls Ranger District," R. M. Beeman, Rogue River National Forest, Medford, Oregon (14p). The first recreation plan for this area. The plan contains historical background for Butte Falls area, an inventory of current recreation sites, and future development needs. The document describes the physical and economic characteristics of the Ashland Ranger District. Describes recreation development and provides recommendations. G-39 Crater National Forest, "Report on Transient Uses of National Forest Camps," Ashland Ranger District, Medford, Oregon (8p). The report contains charts and correspondence specific to various camping sites. [RRSNF/SOU-HL]

This double-sided map shows the natural and recreational resources available to visitors in the Umpqua National Forest. The northern half (side 1) includes points of interest, fire forest prevention, as well as the boundaries of the Willamette National Forest, Boulder Creek Wilderness, and the Cascade Range. The southern half (side 2) includes the boundaries of the Rogue-Umpqua Divide Wilderness, Rogue River National Forest, and Crater Lake National Park.
