The "The Givan Ranch" is an excellent example of 19th-century farming. Two personal narratives from Charles Givan, one of the sons of the original settlers are included. Jackson County purchased the ranch with all the tools and farming equipment in 1972. The property sold with conditions to be set up as a park for the public to visit and see an example of a century farm, and an area where the Klamath Indians came to fish on the Rogue River.
