Foster was Deputy Supervisor of Crater National Forest from 1904-1917. Foster was also a supervisor of various other Pacific Northwest Forests. He was the brother of Marian Gribble of Medford, who was the wife of John Gribble, Ashland District Ranger. [RR-SNF/SOU-HL]
