Biography
Local historian and author Kay Atwood, who has written extensively about the Southern Oregon region. Atwood’s books include Illahe: The Story of Settlement in the Rogue River Canyon, Mill Creek Journal: Ashland Oregon, 1850-1860, and Chaining Oregon: Surveying the Public Lands of the Pacific Northwest, 1851-1855. Her many other books and articles explore the settlement and development of communities in Southern Oregon, and include National Register nominations, cultural resource inventories, and environmental and organizational histories.

Flanagan House, William and Viola Flanagan House, 720 Northwest Sixth Street, Grants Pass, Oregon, 1982
The National Register of Historic Places form describes the Flanagan House as a private residence constructed for Mr. and Mrs. Flanagan in 1905-1906. The home remained in their possession until both passed away. The nomination form documents the Flanagan's history and their prominence to the community of Grants Pass.
The documents provided for the nomination are letters, plot plans, and fourteen images on photograph slides.
Floods of Record, 1988
Research completed for the Director of Planning and Development, City of Ashland. The research covers the five major floods of 1861, 1890, 1927, 1948, and 1955, giving a summary of the damages. The documents include images of newspaper clippings published in 1861, 1890, 1927, 1948, and 1955 from a variety of newspapers. Included is a report from the U.S. Army Engineer District, Portland Corps of Engineers December 1961.

Frank Chamberlain Clark - Architect, 1888-1982
The documents concern buildings and advertisements related to Frank C. Clark. The materials include handwritten research notes and a copy of Mr. Clark's obituary. The Annual reports for the Oregon State Board of Architect Examiners published 1919 through 1921. Also, there is correspondence from 1919 through 1982 regarding Mr. Clark's designs and his character, and an original drawing of a house design, dated 1888.
