Scope and Contents
The National Register of Historic Places nomination forms describes The Rogue Elk Hotel located in Trail. Charles Power designed the hotel with a Colonial Style architecture. Mr. William G. McDonald, an artist who came to Medford from Canada in 1914, opened the hotel with his brother L.E. McDonald in 1916.
The file includes images of newspaper articles, a portion of Oregon State Highway map 1923, hotel plans, Eagle Point Independent October 16, 1979, and The Mail Tribune October 11, 1979.
