Mathis Welch House, 162 North Second Street, Central Point, Oregon, 1997
Scope and Contents
The National Register of Historic Places nomination form describes the Mathias Welch House as a private residence built in 1888 by the local brick-mason George Priddy. The Welch house is the only brick dwellings built in the original town boundary. Mr. Welch was a predominant member of the community, politician, and a businessman. A brief history of Mr. Welch is available in the nomination form, and there are images of a plot plan, floor plans, and newspaper articles. Photographs, negatives, and slides of the residence are present for viewing.
