Scope and Contents

The small collection of letters concern the history of Southern Oregon. The topics include the Woolen Mills, the Butte Creek Mill, and 'Gin Lin' of Jacksonville, Oregon. Two significant letters include a personal narrative by a member of the Takelma Indians of the Rogue Valley, and research documenting minorities in early Jacksonville, Oregon.
