Frank Chamberlain Clark - part 1, 1910-1982

 File — Box: 19, Folder: 10
Identifier: MSS025:03.08

Scope and Contents

The materials contain research on Frank Chamberlain Clark, the Architect who designed many of the buildings and homes in Southern Oregon. There is an interview between Robert J. Keeney, Clark's partner after 1935, and Marjorie Edens of the Jacksonville Museum. Their discussion focuses on the designs by Frank C. Clark, Clark and Keeney, and Keeney. Other materials include excerpts from "The American Progress Magazine," regarding the progress and buildings of Ashland, Medford, and the Rogue Valley. Also, many handwritten notes and a list of homes and buildings that were created by Clark and Keeney. One handwritten note suggests the house passed down to Paulena Carter from her mother, Vetabelle Phillips-Carter, may have been Ernest Victor Carter's home, designed by Frank Clark in 1886.
