Abstract

Local historian and author Kay Atwood has written extensively about the Southern Oregon region. Atwood's collection includes her publications, accompanied by her research notes, correspondence and photographs. Related publications, many written for cities and forest agencies, are also included.

The "Proposed U.S. Cellular Communications Tower at Mt. Stella, near Mt. Stella Lookout." The report includes the proposal of placement for the installation of a cellphone communications tower placement near the lookout tower. A drawing of the living quarters for the tower and placement of the garage. An image of the Rogue National Forest with the installation of the lookout on the map.

The "Proposed Relocation Project: Dead Indian Soda Springs' Community Kitchen' Shelter." The document includes the "Flood '97 Restoration—South Fork Little Butte Creek projects." The report contains images of structures considered for relocation and map of the land. The Community Kitchen is eligible to be included in the National Registry of Historic Places.
