C-54 "Crater National Forest, Sales, and Policy for Christmas Trees," W.J. Sproat and Paul A. Brinson, Crater/Rogue River National Forest, Medford, Oregon. Two letters of "Memorandum for Forest Supervisor," with maps attached, from Mr. Sproat and District Ranger Brinson describing access to specific areas for possible extraction of Shasta red fir Christmas trees. The document includes detailed 1931 hand-drawn timber type maps of Twin Ponds and Huckleberry Mountain. [RR-SNF/SOU-HL]

This black and white map was prepared by the Union Creek Ranger District. It shows the locations of timber sale areas.

This black and white map was prepared by the Union Creek Ranger District. It shows existing clear cut units in the upper Bybee area as well as as patches that have been clear cut or partially cut.

The National Register of Historic Places describes Wheeler Ridge as the Japanese Bombing Site. The preservation of Wheeler Ridge is significant because this was the only time an aerial attack of its kind was waged against America. Included with the documents are maps showing the site of the bombing and images of newspaper articles concerning the bomb site.
