The booklet contains maps that cover the natural and human history of topography and geology throughout the state of Oregon.

The topographic map sections concern the Ashland Quadrangle with notes on the locations of specific geologic and geology-to-plant distribution components.

The map shows the locations of rock strata found in East and West Medford. It also describes the different rock types and shows how old they are on a scale.

The book "Geology and Ore Deposits of the Takilma-Waldo District, Oregon" published by the United States Department of the Interior and copied by Kay Atwood. In addition to the book are images giving details of the area in the form of maps.

The reports describe the stratigraphy and sedimentology of southwest Oregon and northern California. Materials include a map identifying the locations of geologic units in the Eagle Point and Medford Quadrangles.
