In 1896 The Hoyt Brothers Lumber and Coal Co. purchased a portion. Arthur W. Ellis purchased a piece of the property using his World War Veterans' benefits in 1929. Scope and Contents

The maps from the Sanborn-Perris Map Company outline the city of Yreka, California on a CD. The Sanborn Insurance maps are what they used for calculating insurance premiums for customers. Included on the CD are maps for 1885, 1888, 1890, 1897, 1901, 1908, and 1927. The maps provided information on the location, function, building materials, and dimensions of structures for each year listed.
