Hargadine, 1862-1925
Scope and Contents
The real estate documents begin in 1865, with the Donation Land Claim to Robert B. and Martha W. Hargadine, and continue with many changes of ownership. Included are court documents regarding Robert B. Hargadine's will, probate, and the guardianship of the minor children, as well as the distribution of his property after his death in 1877. Martha W. Hargadine, with Alanson P. and Emma J. Hammon, created a community called the Hargadine Tract in 1888, for the City of Ashland. The records show many owners, ending with Ed A. Estes, in 1925. Also included is a map of the Hargadine Tract in Ashland,Oregon.
