Lakes and streams provide excellent angling for trout and steelhead while the Pacific Ocean offers opportunities for landing salmon, cod, tuna, sea bass and other salt water varieties. Sand buggies on the Oregon coast
Sand buggies, modified four-wheel drive wehicles, roll over the impressive sand dunes on the southwest Oregon coast near Florence. The dunes, part of which are in Honeyman State Park, cover a huge coastal area, and seeing them by "sand buggy" is the most entertaining way yet discovered. This unbelievably blue lake, six miles from shore to shore line, is set in the crater of the extinct volcano, Mt. Mazama, which collapsed ages ago. Later volcanic action built Wizard Island. Crater Lake, in Oregon's southern Cascade Mountains is one of the wonders of the world, 2000 feet deep, six miles wide and covering 20 square miles, formed when Mt.
