Scope and Contents

The set of maps from the Sanborn-Perris Map Company outline the city of Medford, Oregon. The pages can be placed together to get a better idea of the Medford area. The Sanborn Insurance maps are what they used for calculating insurance premiums for customers. Included are maps from the years 1888, 1890, and 1893. These maps provide information about the location, function, building materials, and dimensions of structures for each year listed.

The U.S. Geological Survey produced the topographic map as part of the 7.5 minute series. It was compiled from aerial photographs taken in 1953.
