Gold Beach Jetty
Salmon Fishing is both popular and productive from the black sands of Oregon's southern beaches, as evidenced by this scene at the Gold Beach Jetty. Surf and rock fishing require no license along the state's 377 miles of public beaches, and the blue waters of the Pacific provide fishermen with breathaking scenery in addition to the prospect of a prize catch. North Umpqua River
White water offers a fine angling spot for this fisherman along the North Umpqua River in the Cascade Mountains of southern Oregon. There is fishing to suit a variety of tastes in this evergreen Northwest state. Lakes and streams provide excellent angling for trout and steelhead while the Pacific Ocean offers opportunities for landing salmon, cod, tuna, sea bass and other salt water varieties.
